Bedtime for Bonzo is a 1951 comedy film starring former president Ronald Reagan as Professor Peter Boyd. Using 1950’s child rearing techniques, Professor Boyd plays the father to the chimp trying to teach it human morals.
Knute Rockne, All American is a 1940 biographical film which tells the story of Knute Rockne, Notre Dame football coach played by Pat O’Brien. The role of George “The Gipper,” Gipp was played by former president Ronald Reagan and this role gave him the nickname “The Gipper,” for the rest of his life. In 1997, this film was deemed “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant,” by U.S. Library of Congress and selected for preservation in their National Film Registry.
