Candid Country
Candid Country is one of the most outstanding local Country cover bands in the area. Led by the lead vocals of Mandy Lance and the guitar playing of Len Turner and Matt Kolve, keyboards and vocals from Julie McCord and drums from Rick Johnson, the band hits all the right notes covering a wide repertoire of Country Hits.
Burns & Poe
Burns & Poe are no strangers to the country music scene or fans. Award-winning tunesmiths and stage entertainers, they’ve already made their mark. Keith Burns is a founding member of the Grammy-nominated, gold recording trio Trick Pony, who won both an American Music Award and an Academy of Country Music Award and was the Petunia Festival Concert Headline Act in 2006.
Burns has also penned songs recorded by Joe Diffie, Hootie & The Blowfish, Sammy Kershaw, Anita Cochran, and Trick Pony (who scored three Top 20 and two Top 10 singles on the country charts).
Frankie Ballard
Hailing from Battle Creek, MI, Frankie Ballard may be a newcomer to Nashville, but his edgy country rock sounds like the work of someone deeply at home in Music City. His heartfelt first single, “Tell Me You Get Lonely,” is a power mid-tempo song, but a slow down for this singer and powerful guitar slinger. In his debut album (May 2011) for Reprise Records with producer Michael Knox (Jason Aldean), Frankie keeps things rolling on songs like “Get On Down the Road” and “While The Sun Sleeps,” which is brim with a brash, youthful vigor and potent high energy. And “Buncha Girls” is the perfect summer song!
In the summer of 2008, Frankie won Kenny Chesney’s “Next Big Star” regional competition in Michigan. He has toured with and opened for major artists including Bob Seger, Uncle Kracker and, most recently, Taylor Swift.
